Finding a dentist you trust is worth a little travel. Visage Dental is an independent practice at Weavers House on New Road in nearby Prestbury, and we are pleased to see patients from Stockport for routine care as well as cosmetic treatment. Whether you have a particular change in mind or just want a practice that explains things clearly, we would be glad to meet you.
People contact us for many different reasons. Some want to replace old, stained fillings or veneers. Some have never liked the shape of their front teeth. Others are simply looking for a new dental home for check-ups and hygiene. The treatments we are asked about most often are:
A veneer is a thin layer of material fixed to the front surface of a tooth. Veneers can alter the colour, shape or length of teeth and may help disguise chips, wear or small gaps.
Our veneers are made from ceramic using 3D printing. We take a digital scan, plan the design on screen and talk it through with you before anything is made, so you can give your views on shape and shade at the planning stage. Ceramic is generally more resistant to staining than composite resin, although veneers still need good home care and regular check-ups, and they may need replacing at some point in the future.
Our 3D printed veneers start from £475 per tooth. How many teeth you have treated, and whether any other dental work is needed first, will affect the total, so we provide a written, itemised plan before you commit. Some cases need a little of the tooth surface to be prepared; if that applies to you, we will explain it fully beforehand.
Crooked or crowded teeth can sometimes be improved without changing their surfaces at all. Invisalign clear aligners are a series of removable, close-fitting trays that move teeth gradually. Each set is worn for a period before moving on to the next.
Aligners are not suitable for every bite. We will carry out an assessment first and, if they are an option for you, show you a digital plan and explain the commitment involved: wearing the aligners for the recommended hours each day, attending reviews, and wearing retainers once treatment ends.
For smaller cosmetic concerns, composite bonding may be enough. Tooth-coloured resin is added to the tooth and shaped by hand to rebuild a chipped corner, smooth an uneven edge or narrow a gap. It often needs little or no removal of tooth structure.
The trade-off is that resin can discolour or chip over time and may need polishing or repair. If you are unsure whether bonding or veneers would suit you better, our blog explains the differences in cost and upkeep.
Healthy teeth and gums come before any cosmetic work. We offer examinations, hygiene appointments, fillings, crowns and other general dentistry, and we will always address any underlying problems before discussing cosmetic options.

Yes. We offer a free consultation, whether you are asking about veneers, Invisalign, bonding or general dentistry, so you can find out what may suit you and what is involved, with no obligation to go ahead.
This varies from person to person and depends on factors such as your bite, habits like grinding, and how well the veneers are looked after. We will discuss what to expect for your situation and how to care for them.
Aligners need to be worn for most of the day and are removed to eat, drink anything other than water, and clean your teeth. We will give you clear guidance at the start of treatment.
