Veneers are custom-made facings that are bonded to the front of teeth to change their appearance. They can be used to adjust colour, length and shape, and to cover chips or worn edges.
At our practice, veneers are made from ceramic using 3D printing. We scan your teeth, design the proposed result digitally and review it with you before the veneers are made. Ceramic tends to keep its surface finish and resist staining well compared with resin, which is why some patients considering a longer-term change ask about it.
3D printed veneers cost from £475 per tooth. The total depends on how many teeth are involved and whether you need other dental treatment first. Some cases call for minor preparation of the tooth surface, and we will always explain this before you make a decision. Veneers are not suitable for everyone, and we will say so if we think a more conservative treatment would serve you better.
Bonding is a quicker, more conservative way to make small refinements. We apply tooth-coloured resin to the tooth and shape it by hand to repair a chip, balance uneven edges or close a narrow gap, usually without needing to remove much, if any, of the natural tooth.

If your teeth are crowded, spaced or slightly rotated, you may wish to consider straightening. Invisalign clear aligners are a series of clear, removable trays that move teeth gradually. We will assess whether they are suitable and, if so, explain the likely timescale, the daily wear required and the retainers you will need afterwards.
