Smile makeover: 10 3D printed ceramic veneers
Ten units, usually £4,750 – now £3,500. Save £1,250 (£350 per unit). Many smile makeovers involve the teeth that show when you smile. Our offer brings ten 3D printed ceramic veneers together in one planned course of treatment at a reduced per-tooth price. And our 3D printed ceramic veneers are priced the same as composite veneers at £475 per unit (usual price) – so you can choose ceramic for the price of composite.
Whether ten veneers is right for you depends on your teeth, your smile line and what you’d like to change. At your consultation we’ll assess your oral health, talk through your options (including alternatives such as whitening, composite bonding or fewer veneers) and give you a written treatment plan with fixed costs before you decide.

Why patients are moving on from composite bonding
Composite bonding has helped many people improve their smile. Today, 3D printed ceramic veneers offer a modern alternative to composite bonding: designed digitally around your face, precision-made in ceramic and built to keep looking good for longer. For many patients who want a lasting change, it’s the natural next step – subject to assessment.
Traditional approach · composite bonding
- Resin hand-layered directly onto each tooth
- Shape judged by eye, chairside
- Can pick up stains and lose shine over time
- Periodic polishing and repairs
Digital approach · 3D printed ceramic veneers
- 3D scan and digital smile design, previewed before treatment
- Precision 3D printed in ceramic for consistent shape and thickness
- Glazed ceramic is generally more stain-resistant and holds its shine
- Typically longer-lasting, with lower ongoing maintenance
Generally more stain-resistant
A glazed ceramic surface is generally more resistant to staining from coffee, tea and red wine than composite resin, helping your smile stay bright.
Typically longer-lasting
With good care, ceramic veneers commonly last 10 years or more, compared with around 5–7 years typically seen with composite bonding. Not a guarantee – your dentist will discuss your case.
Digital precision & consistency
Each veneer is designed in software and 3D printed, giving precise, consistent shape and thickness from tooth to tooth across your smile.
Keeps its natural shine
Ceramic generally holds its polish for longer than resin, so your smile keeps its natural lustre with less need for re-polishing.
Fewer maintenance visits
Because ceramic is typically more resistant to wear and chipping, many patients need fewer polishing and repair appointments over the long term, where applicable.
See your smile first
Digital smile design lets you preview the planned result and be involved in the design before any treatment begins.
The honest picture
Composite bonding is still an excellent choice for many people: it costs less upfront, can usually be done in one visit, needs little or no tooth preparation and is often reversible or easy to repair. Our 3D printed ceramic veneers need no drilling in the majority of cases (subject to assessment), though some cases need minimal preparation, and treatment takes more than one appointment. We offer both, and will help you choose what’s right for your teeth and goals. All treatment is subject to clinical assessment.
What are 3D printed ceramic veneers?
Veneers are thin shells bonded to the front of the teeth to change their shape, colour, size or symmetry. 3D printed ceramic veneers are digitally designed from a scan of your teeth and then made from ceramic using precision 3D printing technology.
Because each smile is planned digitally, we can look at tooth proportions, symmetry and how your smile sits with your face before treatment begins – and you can see a preview of the planned design.
Veneers can be used to:
- Improve tooth shape and symmetry
- Brighten heavily stained teeth
- Close small gaps between teeth
- Restore worn or chipped edges
- Disguise minor alignment issues
- Replace bonding that repeatedly stains or chips
In the majority of our cases, 3D printed veneers are placed with no drilling. Whether that is possible for you depends on your teeth and the result you want, and some patients may need minimal preparation; your dentist will explain this, together with the risks, benefits and alternatives, before you decide.
Your smile makeover, step by step
A typical course of treatment follows these stages. The number of visits and timings vary from person to person and will be confirmed in your treatment plan.
Consultation
We discuss your goals, check the health of your teeth and gums and confirm whether veneers are suitable for you.
Scan & smile design
A digital 3D scan and photographs are used to design your new smile, which you can preview before going ahead.
Preparation
Teeth are gently prepared where needed, usually under local anaesthetic, and a final scan is taken.
3D printing & fitting
Your ceramic veneers are 3D printed and finished, then checked for fit and colour and bonded in place.
Review & aftercare
We review your bite and comfort, and advise on looking after your veneers with regular check-ups and hygiene visits.
Composite bonding or ceramic veneers?
Both are well-established cosmetic treatments and we offer both at Visage. Composite bonding is a conservative, often reversible option that suits many people. Ceramic veneers may suit you if you’re looking for a longer-lasting, stain-resistant result. Here’s a fair, side-by-side summary.
| Feature | Composite bonding | 3D printed ceramic veneers |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Tooth-coloured composite resin | Ceramic |
| How it’s made | Hand-sculpted directly on the teeth, usually in one visit | Digitally designed and 3D printed, then bonded – usually over more than one visit |
| Tooth preparation | Often little or none; usually added to the tooth | In the majority of our cases no drilling is needed; some cases need minimal preparation, subject to assessment |
| Reversibility | Often reversible or adjustable | Not usually reversible where tooth surface has been reshaped |
| Staining | Can pick up surface staining over time; polishing helps | Glazed ceramic is highly resistant to staining |
| Chipping & wear | More prone to chipping and surface wear | More resistant to wear; can still chip or fracture |
| Repairs | Usually simple to repair or top up | A damaged veneer usually needs replacing |
| Maintenance | Periodic polishing and occasional repairs | Generally lower ongoing maintenance |
| Typical lifespan* | Commonly around 5–7 years before repair or replacement | Commonly 10+ years with good care |
| Cost (fee guide) | Edge bonding £399 per tooth; composite veneer £475 per tooth | £475 per tooth (same usual price as composite veneers); £350 per tooth on this 10-veneer offer – save £1,250 |
*Typical ranges reported in dental literature, not a guarantee. Your dentist will discuss what to expect in your case. Composite bonding prices are taken from the practice fee guide.

After years of feeling uncomfortable smiling, I honestly couldn’t be happier with my results. I first had whitening treatment followed by 4 top veneers, and the whole experience from start to finish was amazing. Everything was explained clearly throughout the process, which made me feel really comfortable and reassured at every stage. All of the staff were incredible — so friendly, welcoming and professional, with such a relaxed atmosphere every time I visited. How much do 3D printed ceramic veneers cost?
Our usual fee is £475 per veneer. Our 3D printed ceramic veneers are priced the same as composite veneers at £475 per unit (usual price), so you can have ceramic for the price of composite. How long do ceramic veneers last?
With good oral hygiene, regular check-ups and hygiene visits, ceramic veneers commonly last 10 years or more. How long they last for you depends on factors such as your bite, habits like grinding or biting hard objects, and how well they are looked after. Veneers can chip or need replacing over time, and we may recommend a night guard if you grind your teeth. Your dentist will discuss what to expect for your situation.
Is the treatment painful?
Most patients find treatment comfortable. Where teeth need to be prepared, this is usually done under local anaesthetic. Some people notice temporary sensitivity or need a few days to get used to the feel of their new veneers. If you’re a nervous patient, let us know – we’ll take things at your pace and explain each step.
Who is suitable for veneers?
Veneers may suit adults with healthy teeth and gums who want to improve teeth that are stained, chipped, worn, uneven or have small gaps, or who have composite bonding that keeps staining or chipping. Any decay or gum disease needs treating first. Veneers may not be recommended if you have very heavy grinding or significant crowding – in which case options such as aligners or composite bonding may be better. Suitability is always subject to a clinical assessment.
Should I choose composite bonding or veneers?
It depends on your teeth and your priorities. Composite bonding is quicker, usually needs little or no tooth preparation and is easy to repair, which makes it a good choice for many people. Our 3D printed ceramic veneers need no drilling in the majority of cases (subject to assessment) and are more stain- and wear-resistant and typically last longer. We offer both and will help you weigh up the options at your consultation.
Do I need to have 10 veneers?
No. Ten veneers is common for a full smile makeover, but some people need fewer. We’ll recommend the number that suits your smile. The offer price applies to a course of 10 veneers; fewer veneers are charged at our standard fee.
